I was trying to start my elitebook buts end I started it it showed the recovery screen but something I noticed was that my tabs would crash a lot and it would say your laptop ran into a problem and needs to restart before this glitch and basically what I think it meant was I need to reinstall windows 11 it also said it was missing a file but I haven't deleted any files lately and its only two weeks old

    Hi,

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this issue especially on a device that is only a few weeks old. I’ll help you get this sorted.

It sounds like your HP EliteBook is facing system instability and recovery errors, which can happen due to corrupted system files or incomplete updates.

Please try accessing WinRE and from there, explore all the options such as System Repair, System Restore, etc.

Quick note: Before starting this process, please remove all unnecessary external devices connected to your PC to avoid interference.

    1. If your PC is on, turn it off by holding and pressing the power button for 5-10 seconds.
    2. Turn on your PC normally. When you see the spinning circle, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds.
    3. Repeat this process three times. This will take you to the recovery menu.
    • From the 'Choose an option' screen, click troubleshoot > Advanced > Startup Repair: Check if the system can repair itself.
    • Click Troubleshoot, then System Restore.

Select a restore point from before the issue occurred.

Let the process finish and check.

    • Click Troubleshoot > Reset This PC (Keep My Files).

As long as you follow the correct procedure, you should be able to access the recovery menu, which will then provide options to fix this issue. If the issue persists, I’m afraid a clean install of Windows may be necessary.
