Deleted old PC from Devices List
In transferring over to new parts for my PC, I inadvertently deleted what Microsoft and Windows recognized as my “old PC” from the devices list of my Microsoft account. I’d like to recover what I accidentally deleted. It was Windows 11, not the Pro version.

Q&A Assist2026-04-05T02:14:44.8833333+00:00 AI generated content. This question contains an answer created with AI from Q&A Assist. Learn moreOnce a device is removed from the Microsoft account devices list, it cannot be restored or recovered in that list.
The only available options are:
- Reconnect the same physical PC (if it still exists and is usable) to the Microsoft account so it appears again as a current device, not as the “old” entry that was deleted.
- If the old hardware no longer exists or is not bootable, there is no way to recover that deleted device entry in the devices list.
If files or settings from the old PC are needed and the drive is still available, they must be accessed directly from that drive (for example, by attaching it to another PC) or from any backups that were created earlier (such as OneDrive or other backup solutions).
