Albums in the OneDrive Photos tab are only virtual collections (aggregated views), not real folders, so they cannot be moved or vaulted as a single unit.

To move items into Personal Vault, the actual files or folders must be moved from their real locations in OneDrive (for example, under My filesPictures), not from the Photos/Albums view.

    Use this approach:

    1. In OneDrive on the web, go to My files and browse to the real folder(s) that contain the photos from the album.
    2. Select the files or folders to vault.
    3. Select Move to.
    4. In the Move to pane, choose Personal Vault as the destination (or open the Personal Vault folder first, then move items into it).

    Notes from the documentation:

    • “You can't move photos from Photo view because this web-only view aggregates photos from various folder locations in OneDrive.” Albums behave the same way and also cannot be moved as a unit.
    • Files can be added or moved to Personal Vault only by selecting the actual files/folders and using Move to with Personal Vault as the destination.

So there is no one-click way to vault an entire album; the underlying files must be selected and moved from their real folders.
