can't turn microsoft defender on, because i can't delete 360 Total Security

have tried numerous ways to delete 360 Total Security, but folder keeps reappearing, and this won't let me turn Windows Defender back on, thanking anyone in advance

    Hi Colway

    you can try (stubborn removal)

    1. Boot into Safe Mode (hold Shift + Restart → Troubleshoot → Startup Settings → Safe Mode)
    2. Try uninstalling again from Safe Mode
    3. Afterward, manually delete leftover folders in C:\Program Files\360\ and C:\ProgramData\360Safe\
    4. Clean registry entries with Win + R → regedit → search for "360Safe" or "360Total" and delete related keys If the above response helps answer your question, remember to "Accept Answer" so that others in the community facing similar issues can easily find the solution.     Include the step to run the following from the Command Prompt (as Administrator)

    reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager" /v PendingFileRenameOperations /t REG_MULTI_SZ /d "??\C:\Program Files (x86)\360\0" /f
