In my other Microsoft email address,[Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]@outlook.com, I subscribe to newsletters from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and several others. On March 21, all except the Washington Post stopped appearing in my inbox. Now the WP has also stopped. (as of April 5, so have non-newsletter commercial emails. Only two items have shown up in the inbox) I checked the focused and "other" sectors; checked the junk and deleted items folders; emptied my inbox, deleted and junk folders; checked rules and filters; checked blocked domains and addresses; checked safe domains and addresses; verified that all subscriptions are still active.

One or two non-commercial and non-newsletter emails are still coming to the "focused" sector. But the one commercial email, from Bloomberg, does not.

    Hi judy,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

I understand how disruptive it is when newsletters and commercial emails suddenly stop showing up in your Inbox. To narrow down the most common causes (Forwarding/Rules/Junk handling or connected apps via POP/IMAP), could you please confirm:

    1. How are you checking @outlook.com?
    • Outlook.com on the web or an app (Outlook iOS/Android, Outlook for Windows/Mac, Apple Mail, etc.)?
    • Does it happen on all devices or only one?
    1. In Outlook.com, under Settings > Mail > Forwarding, is forwarding OFF or ON?
    • Also, is this account connected to any third‑party mail app/service using POP/IMAP?
    1. If you ask one sender to resend, do they get any bounce/NDR message, or do they see it as sent successfully?

Thanks — once I have these details, I can provide the most relevant next steps for your specific scenario.
