This issue usually happens due to subscription or marketplace eligibility and not because of the region alone.
Claude Opus 4 point 6 is a partner model from Anthropic and is offered in public preview through Azure AI Foundry. Even though Sweden Central is a supported region, the model will not deploy unless the subscription meets all backend requirements. When these checks fail, Foundry shows no available regions instead of showing a clear error. [learn.microsoft.com]
First, make sure the Azure subscription has an active paid billing method. Claude models do not work with free credits, trial subscriptions, student offers, sponsored credits, or CSP based subscriptions. This is one of the most common reasons deployment is blocked.
Second, Anthropic models are billed through Azure Marketplace. If marketplace purchases are disabled or restricted at the subscription or tenant level, deployment will fail silently. You can confirm this by checking whether Anthropic models are visible in the Foundry model catalog.
Third, Claude models use the Global Standard deployment type. This does not use VM quota, but it still requires backend quota or entitlement to be greater than zero. Some subscriptions start with zero quota for Anthropic models during preview, which causes the deploy flow to show no available regions even when the region is supported. [opentools.ai]
Also confirm that your Foundry project itself was created in Sweden Central. If the project was created in another region and you are only selecting Sweden Central during deployment, the model will still not deploy. [platform.claude.com]
Once the subscription eligibility, marketplace access, and quota are in place, Claude Opus 4 point 6 should become deployable in Sweden Central without any further changes.
