I had a lot of favourite fonts but when I got a new computer with updated system they had dissapeared e.g. Art Deco ssi. How can I get them back or buy them safely?

If you still have access to your old computer, you can copy fonts from the Fonts folder and install them on the new system. I have been moving fonts from one computer to another for decades and have several folders of Available Fonts (with, of course, a lot of duplication, but font files are quite small) from which I can install fonts as needed.

    Hello, MMC.

The new PC has only the fonts that were used when installing the OS. You will need to install all additional fonts yourself, for example from the Microsoft Store.: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/manage-fonts-in-windows-f12d0657-2fc8-7613-c76f-88d043b334b8 (see the section "Add a font from the Microsoft Store")

You can also copy the font files from the old PC to the new one, and then install them, as described in the section "Add a font from a file".
