    Hi, Colleen Leduc

Updating your payment or contact info should not delete OneDrive files, so this usually points to the wrong Microsoft account being signed in, a sync issue, or files being hidden in places like the Recycle Bin or Personal Vault.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

First, sign in at OneDrive.com and search there, not just on your PC. That is the best place to check because it shows what is actually stored in the cloud.

Make sure you are in the correct Microsoft account. It is recommended that you sign out and back in, because files can appear missing if OneDrive switched to a different account.

Check the OneDrive Recycle Bin and Personal Vault, since files there may not show up in normal search right away.

If the files are online but not on the device, it is recommended that you relink or reset the OneDrive sync app so it rebuilds the connection.

If you have Microsoft 365, you can also use Restore your OneDrive to roll everything back to an earlier point from the last 30 days.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
