Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi,
I understand you’ve already paid your subscription but are still being prompted to renew.
Make sure you are signed in to the same Microsoft account that was used to purchase or renew the subscription, then go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services
Note: When you use your Microsoft account to purchase a subscription from Microsoft, the license is automatically tied to that account, so you won’t need a product key.
Confirm that your Microsoft 365 subscription shows as active and not expired. If it is active, the issue is likely sync-related.
Open any Office app (Word, Excel, etc.), sign out of your account, then sign back in using the correct account to refresh the license.
Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now to ensure your apps are fully updated.
If the subscription shows as active on your account but Office still asks you to renew after these steps, it may be a temporary sync delay or activation issue. In that case, signing out and back in usually resolves it.
If the issue persists, you may need to reinstall Office:
In your search bar, type Control Panel and press Enter > Programs > Programs and Features.
Locate Microsoft 365 subscription or any Office apps installed on your computer, right-click on them, and select Uninstall.
Restart your computer to ensure the changes take effect.
Then reinstall it using the steps below:
Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
Sign in using the Microsoft account associated with your license.
Locate Microsoft Office and click Install.
This will download the Office installer.
Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
