I am having an issue in Windows 11 with my USB 3.0 Ugreen Wifi Dongle.

The Ugreen Wifi dongle I have uses the Realtek 8851BU Wireless LAN WiFi 6 USB NIC driver from Realtek.

I recently upgraded my PC to windows 11 after using Windows 10, I did not experience any issues with my Ugreen Wifi Dongle on windows 10 just to add.

After upgrading to windows 11 I noticed that the wifi dongle was not performing the same as it did in Windows 10. I checked Device Manager and it was forced to use the USB 2.0 standard causing the speeds to drop.

I then forced it to use USB 3.0 so the Wifi dongle could take full advantage of the Wifi 5 ghz speeds in can. After doing this, the wifi dongle would constantly just disconnect and reconnect causing it to be unusable.

This issue is only happening in Windows 11, Windows 10 this works fine.

Steps I have tried to fix the issue:
Driver Updates
Windows Updates
And I updated my Bios to its latest version.

Hi! Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with this situation. When you mention that you updated the driver, was that done through Windows Update or by downloading the driver directly from the manufacturer’s website? Also, before installing the updated driver, did you completely remove the previous one? After an upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11, some drivers may still appear compatible, but they often need to be reinstalled cleanly to work properly.

In this case, the best next step would be to fully uninstall the driver for the Wi-Fi dongle as well as the USB controller drivers, then restart the PC and install the latest versions available from the manufacturer websites for both the dongle and the motherboard or USB chipset. This helps ensure that Windows 11 is using fresh, fully compatible drivers instead of older components carried over from the previous installation.
