Subscription has failed, why still billed?

Multiple small charges on the same day usually indicate one of these situations:

    1. A late payment being retried
      • If a previous payment failed (for example, due to insufficient funds), Microsoft keeps retrying until it succeeds.
      • The “late” catch‑up payment and the regular scheduled payment can then appear very close together and look like duplicates, even though they cover different billing periods.
    2. Multiple subscription periods or products
      • If multiple subscription periods were purchased (for example, extra months/years or additional Microsoft 365 products), each purchase appears as a separate transaction, even if processed on the same day.
    3. Multiple Microsoft accounts using the same card
      • If more than one Microsoft account (for example, a family member’s account) uses the same card, charges from those different accounts can appear on the same day.

To verify what those three RM 4 charges are for:

    1. Review order history
      • Sign in and review the order history for the Microsoft account that uses that card: use Review your order history from the article on duplicate charges.
      • Check if there are three separate purchases or billing periods on 7 April 2026 for RM 4.
    2. Investigate other accounts using the same card
      • If only one charge appears in the order history but the bank shows three, go to Payment options for the Microsoft account and select Investigate to search for other Microsoft accounts using that card. This can reveal if another account generated the extra charges.
    3. If the subscription was recently cancelled
      • If a Microsoft 365 subscription was cancelled close to its billing date (less than two days before), one more charge can still occur for the final period. Check the subscription end date under Subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services.

If, after checking order history and other accounts, the three charges still look incorrect, contact Microsoft Billing Support so the billing team can securely review the account and process any eligible refund.
