How to terminate Skype for Business Online ?

Your service for Skype has already finished but money is still payed from my bank account.

How can I terminate it ?

Based on my research, the Skype subscription will not renew after April 3, 2025. 

With that in mind, the charge you are seeing on your account may be related to a different active service rather than a Skype subscription. 

To investigate further and clearly identify what caused the charge, I strongly recommend contacting your organization’s administrator. Ideally, this should be someone with Global Administrator access, as they have the necessary permissions and tools to review billing details and conduct a thorough investigation. 

Since this is a user‑to‑user forum, both moderators and other users can only share insights based on experience. We do not have access to your organization’s environment or the ability to verify billing details directly. For this reason, reaching out to your administrator would be the most effective next step.

I do not have the right as a administrator of the account. How can I terminate the account ?

To stop being charged for Skype for Business / Microsoft 365, the subscription must be canceled on the Microsoft account that is being billed.

Follow these steps:

1. Sign in with the Microsoft account that is paying for the subscription at the Services page:
   • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services.
2. Locate the Microsoft 365 / Skype for Business–related subscription that is still being charged.
3. Select Manage for that subscription.
4. Turn off recurring billing if it is enabled.
5. Use the option to Cancel the subscription and follow the prompts until confirmation is shown.

If sign-in to the correct account is not possible (for example, the account details are unknown or inaccessible), canceling directly with Microsoft will be difficult because of account security. In that case, contact the bank or card issuer and request cancellation of the recurring Microsoft charge.
