M365 Business Premium benefit marked as redeemed but licenses not provisioned

I activated the Microsoft 365 Business Premium benefit from my Founders Hub account today. When I clicked Redeem, I was signed in with my wealthiq.uk email, which is hosted on a GoDaddy-resold Microsoft 365 tenant. The activation flow redirected me to GoDaddy, but no additional licenses have appeared in my GoDaddy account. The Founders Hub portal now shows the benefit as redeemed, so I cannot re-activate it.

Please could you reset this benefit so I can re-redeem it into a new Microsoft-direct tenant (not via GoDaddy as reseller)? I will use a separate Microsoft account and a .onmicrosoft.com domain for the new tenant to avoid the same routing issue.

    Hello @Mohit Sachdeva,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand that your Microsoft 365 Business Premium benefit from Founders Hub is currently showing as Redeemed, but the licenses were not provisioned because the redemption appears to have been routed into a GoDaddy-resold Microsoft 365 tenant instead of a Microsoft-direct tenant.

Unfortunately, this is not something that can be reset or reissued from the Microsoft Q&A forum, because benefit redemption and provisioning for Founders Hub subscriptions is handled by the Founders Hub/ Benefits support team, not through the public forum.

Because the redemption was completed while signed in with an email tied to a GoDaddy-managed tenant, the activation flow may have attached the benefit to that reseller environment. Once the benefit is marked as Redeemed, it usually cannot be self-redeemed again unless the backend team manually reviews and resets it.

Please contact Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub Support and request a manual benefit review/ redemption reset. When submitting the request, include the following details:

    • Founders Hub account email
    • Company name: Wealth IQ
    • Benefit name: Microsoft 365 Business Premium
    • Date of attempted redemption
    • A note that the redemption was accidentally attempted while signed into a GoDaddy-resold Microsoft 365 tenant
    • A request to reset/ re-enable the benefit so it can be redeemed into a new Microsoft-direct tenant Mention that you plan to redeem it using: - a separate Microsoft account - a new .onmicrosoft.com tenant - not a GoDaddy-reseller tenant

    Please try these 2 options:

Option 1: Sign in to your Founders Hub portal > go to Support /Help > create a support ticket from there regarding the redeemed but not provisioned benefit.

Option 2: Contact Microsoft support and explain that this issue relates specifically to a Founders Hub benefit redemption problem and needs to be routed to the Founders Hub/ Benefits team for review and reset. Please try to find the related hotline number to call the frontline and let them raise a ticket for you: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

If you are unable to reach support via the phone numbers, there is a workaround you might consider: You can register for a new Microsoft 365 tenant by signing up for a trial subscription here: Microsoft 365 Business Plans and Pricing | Microsoft 365

Once the new tenant is created, you can access the admin center and submit a support ticket from there, requesting to speak with the Data Protection Team on behalf of your original tenant.

    Important notes:

    • This new trial tenant will not give you access to any of the data or settings in your original locked tenant. It is solely a temporary means to contact Microsoft support.
    • The resolution time might be longer as you are contacting support from a different tenant.
    • Remember to cancel the trial subscription for the new tenant once your issue with the original account is resolved to avoid any unintended charges.
    • Since this involves a benefit entitlement tied to backend redemption records, the issue usually cannot be corrected from the GoDaddy admin side alone if no licenses were actually provisioned there. Hope this information will help.
