Duplicate profiles

It seems that there are duplicate profiles with my name. Can you please move the content to one profile and delete the other profile?

Could you clarify which Microsoft product or service you are referring to when you say “profile”?

Is this related to a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account?

Could you share a screenshot of the issue you are seeing (with any personal information hidden if needed)?

Content from two different Microsoft accounts or Learn profiles cannot be directly merged by support into a single Microsoft account, and one profile cannot simply be deleted with its content moved to another.

For Microsoft Learn profiles specifically, profile merges are only supported in this way:

1. Only one of the profiles may contain a personal Microsoft login account.
2. Merging brings together all learning progress, credentials, and transcripts from both profiles into a single Learn profile.
3. The merge is triggered by adding a login account that already belongs to another Learn profile:
   • Sign in to the profile that should be kept.
   • Go to login account management and choose Add login account.
   • Add the login account that is associated with the other Learn profile.
   • If that login is tied to another profile, a profile merge is triggered and all contents from the second profile are brought into the signed‑in profile; duplicates are removed.
4. After a merge, all learning progress is combined, editable information (like display name) can still be changed, and sign‑in with all login accounts remains possible.
5. A merge cannot be undone, and if the limit of five work or school login accounts is exceeded, the merge is canceled and must be retried after reducing linked accounts.

If the duplicate profiles are Microsoft accounts themselves (for example, separate sign‑in identities), those accounts cannot be merged. In that case, content and purchases under one Microsoft account cannot be moved to another; only aliases can be added, and the underlying accounts remain separate.
