can i set Planner in Schedule view to default to week instead of month?

i have to switch this over every time and i would prefer to save that time and effort, thank you.

I’ve taken some time to research and look into the available options related to your request. At the moment, there is no documentation or setting that describes a way to make Week view the default in Planner’s Schedule (Calendar) view. Currently, Microsoft Planner always opens Schedule view in Month view and switching to Week view needs to be done manually each time. This is a current product limitation, rather than a configuration or customization option that can be enabled.

Speaking personally, as a Planner user as well, I completely understand why this can feel inconvenient. There have been times when I’ve noticed the same thing, and being able to set Week view as the default would definitely make daily or short‑term task tracking much more efficient. Planner’s Schedule/Calendar view supports switching between Week and Month, but the provided information does not describe any way to change the default so that it always opens in Week view. The view can be changed manually each time by selecting Schedule and then choosing Week, but no setting is documented to persist that choice as the default.
