Hello Joshua Ayitevie!
From what you described, you're using a One by Wacom (CTL‑472) with OneNote, and when writing, a line automatically connects the end of one stroke to the starting point of the next, creating an unintended trail between letters.
When you lift the pen to move to the next letter, OneNote may interpret the brief contact or hover as a double‑click or press‑and‑hold gesture, which can result in the behavior you're experiencing.
Please try the following:
- Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Pen and Touch.
- Under the Pen tab, select Double‑click with the pen.
- Move the speed slider toward Lower (slower) to make accidental double‑clicks less likely, then select OK.
- In the same Pen and Touch window, open Press and hold and uncheck Enable press and hold for right‑clicking.
Additionally, in OneNote, try toggling Use Windows Ink under File > Options > Advanced (if available) to see if the behavior changes.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!
