I need to speak to Microsoft Business Support urgently to request log files from March 2 2026 as my Microsoft Business accounts are not being managed by an IT company and allowed my business emails to be hacked the same day my business website was scheduled to launch.

    Hello @HeidiBRodino-6382,

I understand this is an urgent situation. I’ll outline the quickest ways to reach Microsoft Business Support so your request for log files can be reviewed properly.

If you have administrator access to your Microsoft 365 Business tenant, the fastest option is to open a support ticket directly through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. You can follow the steps outlined here: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Once signed in as an admin, you can create a ticket and clearly describe that you need historical log files related to a suspected security incident.

If you do not have admin access, or are unable to sign in to the Admin Center, please contact Microsoft Support by phone using the regional support numbers listed below: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

When you call, you may hear an automated introduction lasting about 30 seconds (for example, “you can visit the link…”). You can wait until the menu options appear, then press "1" as a business email user, and again "1" for technical help.

If you are unable to reach support via the phone numbers, there is a workaround you might consider: You can register for a new Microsoft 365 tenant by signing up for a trial subscription here: Microsoft 365 Business Plans and Pricing | Microsoft 365

Once the new tenant is created, you can access the admin center and submit a support ticket from there, requesting to speak with the Data Protection Team on behalf of your original tenant.

    Important notes:

    • This new trial tenant will not give you access to any of the data or settings in your original locked tenant. It is solely a temporary means to contact Microsoft support.
    • The resolution time might be longer as you are contacting support from a different tenant.
    • Remember to cancel the trial subscription for the new tenant once your issue with the original account is resolved to avoid any unintended charges.

I hope this helps you reach the right team as quickly as possible. If you have any updates or need clarification on the process, please let me know, I’ll do my best to assist within my capacity.

    Best regards,

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.

To urgently reach Microsoft Business Support about compromised Microsoft 365 business accounts and to request logs, use one of these supported paths:

    1. Call Microsoft business support by phone
      • Go to the customer service phone list: Customer service phone numbers.
      • Select the region and use the Business Users number.
      • When the IVR (automated system) starts, wait through any initial message suggesting online help, then follow the business path, for example (flows can vary by country):
        • Press 1 for business email/Microsoft 365 for business.
        • Press 1 again for technical support.
        • When asked by the automated system, clearly state the issue, for example: “Office 365 for business, company account, administrator, account compromised, need log files and security investigation.”
      • If prompted, confirm:
        • Product: Office 365/Microsoft 365 for business.
        • Account type: Company account.
        • Role: Administrator (if applicable).
      • Ask the agent to:
        • Open a security / data protection ticket for suspected account compromise.
        • Escalate to the Data Protection or security team and request the relevant audit/log data for the affected accounts and dates.
    2. Open a support ticket from Microsoft 365 Admin Center (if admin access is available)
      • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center: https://admin.microsoft.com.
      • Select Help & support in the bottom-right corner.
      • Describe the issue (e.g., “Business email accounts compromised, need audit logs and investigation for March 2, 2026”).
      • Submit the request and choose callback/chat if offered to speak directly with support.
    3. If locked out or unable to reach support normally
      • As described in the referenced Q&A, one workaround is to create a trial Microsoft 365 tenant, sign in as admin, and from that tenant’s Admin Center → Help & support, open a ticket requesting to speak with the Data Protection team on behalf of the original tenant.
      • Clearly provide tenant details and explain that the original tenant is compromised or inaccessible and that log data is needed.

For any phone contact, have ready: tenant name, domain, affected user accounts, approximate compromise time, and the exact date range for the logs being requested.
