Trouble installing a stand alone version of Publisher along with Microsoft 365

Question

Since Publisher is no longer going to be a part of Microsoft 365 Online version I made a one-time purchase for MS Publisher 2021. I installed MS Publisher, and it told me I have to uninstall Office. So I uninstalled Office. However, after installing Publisher, when I try to re-install Office, it tells me I have to remove Publisher first.

If you can't install Office Publisher using the Click-to-Run method for different editions, you can, if you have an Office 365 subscription or license, install the same version of Office 365 as Publisher, that is, version 2021.

First, uninstall Publisher and install this version of Office:

After installing this version, install Publisher 2021.

It should work correctly, but remember that you need an Office 365 or 2021 subscription or license.

Once the download is complete, disconnect from the network > Right-click > Select "Mount" > Open File Explorer > "My Computer" > Select the Office icon > Right-click > "Open" > Open the Office tab > Locate the setup64.exe file.
