My personal Microsoft account sends all service emails in Portuguese. All profile, region, and Outlook language settings are already set to Dutch. Please reset the internal communication language / legacy locale on my account.

    Hi Piet mostert

If all your visible settings are already set to Dutch, but Microsoft service emails still arrive in Portuguese, the issue may be coming from an older account-side locale or backend language setting rather than Outlook itself. Outlook language settings do not control all Microsoft service emails.

In that case, it may need Microsoft Support to check and reset the account language on their side, since the normal profile and region settings already appear correct. This is an inference from how Microsoft separates app settings from broader account/service settings

I hope you find this helpful

    Hello,

Just a heads up that this is a public forum staffed by users, not Microsoft employees. Nobody here has backend access to your account to reset your legacy locale or internal language settings. We can definitely try to track down the issue though.

    • How long ago did you update your profile and region settings to Dutch?
    • Also did you update the language preference directly from the main account dashboard page or just inside the Outlook interface?

Let me know so we can see what might be keeping it stuck.
