Dear @Eman Sulta,
Good day, and I appreciate the clear explanation of your concern.
This type of behavior on Windows is commonly related to one of the following causes: damaged or incomplete Office components, a problematic add in, or a corrupted Word template that triggers repair or Safe Mode unexpectedly.
Before trying the steps below, please make sure that your Windows operating system is fully up to date, as pending updates can interfere with Office repairs.
Option 1: Open Word in Safe Mode to check for add-ins
Close Word completely.
Hold the Ctrl key and open Word.

Select Yes when prompted to open Safe Mode.
Once Word opens in Safe Mode, try running your task again.
If it works in Safe Mode, that means an add‑in may be causing the issue. To isolate the add‑in:
Go to File > Options > Add‑ins.
At the bottom, open COM Add-ins.

Uncheck one add‑in at a time and restart Word after each change.
This process helps identify which add-in is triggering the issue.
Option 2: Reinstall Office apps
Please uninstall Office apps, then reinstall them: Sign your school account at office.com > Apps > All apps > Install apps > Microsoft 365 apps > Apps & devices > Install Office.
