Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Dear @Maintenance Coordinator,
Thank you for reaching out. I understand your concern regarding the Microsoft nonprofit grant‑based license that is scheduled to expire on June 1, 2026, and I’m happy to guide you through the renewal process to ensure there’s no service disruption.
Please note that nonprofit grant‑based licenses do not renew automatically. To continue using these licenses, your organization needs to complete an annual nonprofit re‑verification with Microsoft.
- Sign in with a Global Administrator account to the Microsoft Nonprofit Hub.
- Go to Account > Eligibility and complete the nonprofit eligibility re‑verification.
- Once Microsoft approves the re‑verification, the grant‑based licenses can be renewed for a new term and reassigned to users in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
Renew or Reassign the Grant Licenses
Once eligibility is approved:
- Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Select Billing > Your products
- Locate the nonprofit grant‑based subscription
- Renew it or re‑assign the renewed grant licenses to users
I strongly recommend completing this process before June 1, 2026, as allowing the grant to expire may result in a grace period followed by license suspension.
If your nonprofit licenses were originally provided through a Microsoft Partner, the renewal may need to be completed through that partner instead. Please don’t hesitate to reply if you have any questions or would like assistance with the steps above.
Thank you very much for your valuable time and your cooperation. I am looking forward to your response!
