Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Hi @ aanu sogbon,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform.
it sounds like you’re running into an unexpected error when using the LinkedIn single-sign-on to access your Microsoft for Startups account. Here are a few things you can try:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies (or open an Incognito/Private window) and then retry the LinkedIn sign-in flow.
- Make sure your LinkedIn profile is still linked to your Microsoft account:
- Go to https://account.live.com/ and sign in with your ******@gmail.com account.
- Under “Apps & services” or “Linked accounts,” confirm you see LinkedIn listed. If it’s missing or your LinkedIn email has changed, re-link LinkedIn using the same Gmail address you used for your Startups membership.
- Instead of clicking “Continue with LinkedIn,” try signing in directly as a Microsoft Account user:
- On the login page, choose “Use another account” (or “Sign in with Microsoft account”) and enter your ******@gmail.com credentials.
- If you still hit the “unexpected error” message: • Note which browser and device you’re on (e.g. Chrome on Windows 10) and whether it reproduces in a different browser or machine. • Capture the exact URL where the error appears and a screenshot (please redact any PII). • Let us know so we can dig deeper.
