    Hi @Yash Thakur

Good day, and thank you very much for the detailed explanation you shared.

Based on your description, it appears that the application is not retaining your sign-in session. As a result, the system may detect repeated sign-in attempts or overlapping sessions and display the message that your account is logged in on another device.

For security reasons, multiple consecutive sign-in attempts can trigger account protection measures, which may temporarily block access for up to 24 hours.

To help address this issue and prevent future account blocks, I kindly suggest the following steps:

1/ Stop attempting to sign in while your account is blocked

If you are currently seeing a message indicating that your account is blocked or that there have been too many sign-in attempts, please do not continue trying to sign in.

If possible, I recommend waiting until the full lockout period has passed, as repeated attempts during this time may extend the restriction.

    2/ Contact support

Since student and teacher accounts are managed by the school, the IT department or IT helpdesk has access to administrative tools and sign-in logs. If this issue is urgent or continues to occur, I recommend contacting them directly so they can review the sign-in logs, check for any unusual or repeated login attempts, reset or unlock the account if needed, and help ensure the account is accessed correctly without further interruptions.

Follow these steps to reduce repeated sign-ins and avoid account blocks:

    1. Stop repeated sign-in attempts when blocked
If the education app or website says the account is blocked or shows too many incorrect attempts, do not keep trying to sign in. Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication and account protection can temporarily block sign-ins after many attempts or unusual activity. Wait at least 24 hours before trying again, and avoid repeated attempts during that time.
    2. Try another verification/sign-in method
If a message like “Try another verification method” or similar appears, use a different method already configured on the account (for example, Authenticator app instead of SMS, or alternate email instead of phone). This can help bypass a method that is being temporarily blocked.
    3. Check for sign-in from other devices
Make sure the account is not signed in on multiple devices or browsers at the same time for the same course/app. Sign out properly from other devices:
      • On Windows: select Start → user picture / Accounts icon → Sign out.
      • In the education app or browser: use the app’s Sign out/Log out option before closing.
    4. Disconnect work/school account from Windows if not needed
If the Windows device is automatically using a different work/school account and causing confusion, disconnect unused organizational accounts:
      • Open SettingsAccountsAccess work or school.
      • Select the account that should not be used and choose Disconnect.
This can help ensure the correct education account is used consistently.
    5. Avoid suspicious or high-volume activity
High volumes of sign-in or verification requests, or activity that looks unusual (frequent logins from different networks, VPNs, etc.), can trigger temporary blocks. Use a stable network and avoid repeatedly requesting codes.
    6. If the account keeps getting blocked
      • Wait the full recommended time (at least 24 hours, preferably longer if the block repeats) before trying again.
      • If this is a school or work account, contact the school’s or organization’s IT/help desk so they can review Microsoft Entra sign-in logs and confirm whether there is suspicious activity on the account.
    7. If sign-in is tied to Microsoft 365 apps
When using Microsoft 365 apps on Windows, staying signed in keeps apps activated. If signing out frequently or being forced to sign in again, ensure the correct work/school account is used and avoid manually signing out of Office unless necessary.
