You update your Legal name on your Microsoft Learn profile under Settings https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings

If you have an exam booked, you will be shown a message and link to contact Credentials support https://learn.microsoft.com/credentials/support/help#how-to-submit-a-support-request

To correct the name that will appear for a Microsoft certification exam, the legal name on the Microsoft Certification profile must be updated, and if there is an issue impacting an imminent exam, support should be contacted.

1. Update the legal name on the Microsoft Certification profile by following the guidance under Manage your certification profile. This is where the name used for exams and certificates is stored. See: Manage your certification profile.
2. If the name issue is preventing exam check-in or there is a mistake similar to a duplicated or incorrect legal name, open a support request as soon as possible so it can be corrected before the exam time. Use the certification support entry point here: Help.

For Microsoft Learn profile display name (what appears on public Learn profile, transcripts, and badges), change the display name in Learn profile settings:

1. Select the profile icon (top right on Microsoft Learn).
2. Select Settings.
3. Under Personal info, username, and URL, update the display name.
4. Select Save.

This changes the name shown on public profile, certificates, and transcripts associated with Microsoft Learn.
