Welcome Ted Sr. Wickman to the Q&A forum!
Based on what you described, the Microsoft 365 Office apps on your Samsung Galaxy S24+ were syncing normally but suddenly stopped while attempting to sync a OneNote notebook/list. You can try the suggestions below:
1. Check & Complete Pending OneNote Sync
Since the issue started while OneNote was trying to sync a notebook, it’s a good idea to try clearing or completing that pending sync first
Tap ⋮ > Settings > Sync Status
If any section/page shows a sync error, open that page and make a small edit (e.g., add a space) to trigger a fresh sync
You can also try the additional steps outlined here: Fix issues when you can't sync OneNote
2. Reset Account & Sync
Sign out of your Microsoft account in each app, restart your phone, then sign back in and tap Sync now (or Sync all).
Also make sure all Microsoft 365 apps are fully updated via the Galaxy Store or Google Play, and check that your OneDrive has available storage space.
3. Disable Battery Optimization
Go to Settings > Apps > select each Microsoft 365 app (such as OneNote, Outlook, etc.) > Battery, then enable Allow background activity and set usage to Unrestricted.
You may also want to add these apps to Never sleeping apps under Battery and device care, as power‑saving features on Samsung devices can sometimes block background syncing.
If the issue persists, try accessing the Office apps via a browser to see if syncing works there. This can help determine whether the issue is app‑related.
Hope this could help. Please let me know how it goes!
