Question

Hi, my name is Izabella Valentine-Contreras. I would love to say I love making virtual machines of the older OS’s of Windows, just so the older more obsolete operating systems can get loved.

But here’s the thing. I know the servers of Microsoft for something like 8.1, in which this is mostly about, are down, no longer available, but I would like to see if someone of a representative could maybe give me maybe a valid activation keys for these old OS’s that require one after the initial product setup key.

So…I understand if there is no way one of you representatives can help. But as a user who has taken care of the company’s older OS’s, virtual or not, I’d like you to try and help me on this venture.

Hello,

Although we can't provide you with real product keys to activate Windows 8.1 (they likely won't work anyway as Windows 8.1 has been out of support since January of 2023), we can provide you with a generic product key to install Windows. However, the generic key will only install Windows and not activate it. This will mean that many personalization features like wallpaper/lock screen customization and theme changing will be blocked.
