Hi,

My personal email has been blocked. I have submitted the recovery form probably 5 times already but it still does not let me access it, the recovery email that is listed on my account is my high school email which I do not have. I need immediate assistance, this has all my personal email and I needed to work. Could you please email me to this email or give me a call. I do not know what else to do, I am stressing over this

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Since you do not have access to your verification method (your recovery email address) for a password reset, I'm afraid the only way to recover/unblock the account is through the account recovery web form: https://account.live.com/acsr

Important: If you have an active 2FA, ACSR will inform you that your recovery request will be ignored. If you only receive a message that the recovery request is either successful or indicates insufficient information, this means that 2FA is disabled.

You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft, and you can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

If you didn't receive the results from the account recovery webform, please try submitting another request via Incognito/InPrivate window and using different devices and network services. Then please check your email inbox, junk, and spam folders.

If your Microsoft account recovery request was not granted, please review this link for tips on improving your chances of a successful recovery: https://support.microsoft.com/office/dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53

Please be advised that Microsoft Support will not be able to assist you with manual recovery, unblock, and escalation for this case, as stated in this article, that they are not permitted to send password resets, access, or even change any details on the account:

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

Immediate direct email or phone support is not available from here, and account access cannot be changed manually. Only the official automated recovery and unblocking flows can restore access to a blocked Outlook.com/Microsoft account.

Use these steps based on the situation described:

    1. Try the Sign-in Helper / unblock flow
    • Go to Unblock my Outlook.com account and select the Sign-in Helper button: Sign-in Helper.
    • Follow the prompts to verify identity and unblock the account.
    • If the mailbox or OneDrive is full, free up space; otherwise sending/receiving email will not work.
    1. If the account is locked after too many attempts
    • Microsoft may temporarily lock the account after repeated failed sign-ins or suspicious activity.
    • If there have been many attempts (password resets, verification, recovery form submissions), wait at least 24 hours with no further sign-in or recovery attempts before trying again. Additional attempts can restart the lockout period.
    1. Use the Microsoft account recovery form correctly Since the listed recovery email is no longer accessible, the account recovery form is the correct path.
    • Go to the Microsoft Account Recovery form (ACSR) and submit it from a device and location regularly used to sign in to this account.
    • Provide a working alternate email that can currently be accessed; Microsoft will send the result there.
    • Include as many accurate details as possible (previous passwords, contacts, subject lines, etc.) as described in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form.
    • After submitting, Microsoft will send a result within 24 hours to the alternate email.
    • If the result says the information was insufficient, the form can be retried with improved details, up to two times per day.
    1. If the recovery form keeps failing
    • If the automated system cannot verify ownership, support agents are not allowed to override it, send password reset links, or change account details.
    • Continue refining the information in the recovery form and submit again (respecting the two-times-per-day limit and any 24‑hour lockout).
    1. When access is restored
    • After regaining access, review and update security info (add a current email and phone, set up Microsoft Authenticator, and follow the guidance in How to help keep your Microsoft account safe and secure) so recovery is easier in the future.

For additional self-help and contact options (using any account you can sign in with), use the Outlook.com support entry points described in Unblock my Outlook.com account under “Still need help?”.
