Do I need Exchange Online plan 2 to make a trace ?

Just want to know the condition to do this

    You do not need Exchange Online Plan 2 to run a message trace.

    Message trace is available for Exchange Online, including Exchange Online Plan 1 and Microsoft 365 plans that include Exchange Online (such as Microsoft 365 E3 or E5). The key requirement is having the appropriate permissions, not a specific Exchange Online license.

    To perform a message trace, your account must be assigned one of the following roles in the Exchange admin center:

    • Exchange Administrator
    • Global Administrator
    • Organization Management role group
