Office 365 claims I am not connected to Internet when trying to sing in

Around the end of March 2026, office 365 stopped working for me. I understand that you have updated something around that date and that going through all your Q&A it seems that the solution is not straightforward and that I may even require a re-installation of Windows.

Do you really believe this is acceptable? Do you really believe that you are free to mess up my computer and then I will have to fix the problem?

I think it is much simpler to cancel my subscription and use something else.

Let me know if are planning to fix the problem. If you are not planning to fix your problems, then within a few days my subscription will be gone for good.

Thanks a lot for your (up to now) inexistent support.

Can you go check your Windows Settings > Windows update, and see if you might have  KB5085516 available to install?

KB5085516 was released on March 21st to address Microsoft account sign in issue among some apps caused by KB5079473 https://support.microsoft.com/topic/march-21-2026-kb5085516-os-builds-26200-8039-and-26100-8039-out-of-band-09e85404-1cb6-4ed4-9ca5-3e40d74307b9

As explained above, all suggested solutions have been tried and they do not work. It is pointless to keep repeating the same over and over again to hope that somehow at a certain point they will magically work.

I am not a large corporation with hundreds of ITs solving all the issues Microsoft creates.

Either this is fixed quickly or I will have to discontinue the subscription.

    Regards
