how to fix phone link messages on pc with Google messaging app

i really don't have a problem with the phone link and Google messaging since i found out how to fix it. on Android phones, go to the image/ icon in messages, look for "Trash" and delete EVERYTHING. that will fix the Google messaging text build up. since i had figured this out on my own, i thought i would share with you (MS) so you can help others. Samsung will be deleting their messaging app early July and will force everyone to Google messaging. i do not like to see messages deleted from my phone still showing up in your phone link app. i played around and found out that that is where Google stores the messages for reference. if you delete all from their 'trash', they disappear from the phone link.

To remove old Google Messages conversations that still appear in Phone Link on the PC, clear the Trash in the Google Messages app on the Android phone.

Steps on the Android device (Google Messages):

1. Open the Google Messages app.
2. Tap the image/icon (such as the profile or menu icon) to open options.
3. Look for Trash.
4. Open Trash and delete all items there (empty the trash).

Once the Trash is emptied, the previously deleted conversations should no longer appear in Phone Link on the PC, because the messages are no longer retained for reference in Google Messages.

If other issues with messages appear in Phone Link, use the built-in troubleshooting guidance for messages and Phone Link features:

• In Phone Link on the PC, go to Messages and verify conversations sync correctly.
• If problems persist, follow the troubleshooting steps under Troubleshooting features in the Phone Link, especially the Troubleshoot messages section.
