Bing does not control or edit the content that websites publish, including phone numbers shown in search results. The number shown in Bing search usually comes from the website itself or from business listing data.
To correct or remove the wrong phone number:
- Contact the website owner/webmaster of the site that shows the incorrect phone number and ask them to update or remove it on their site. This is the most reliable way to ensure it stops appearing in search results.
- After the website is updated, Bing will typically refresh its index over time and the corrected phone number will start to appear (or disappear) in search results.
- If there is still an issue with what appears in Bing results after the source content is fixed, submit a concern about the specific URL(s) using the Bing reporting form described in the Bing support article “How to report a concern or contact Bing.”
Note: Even if Bing removes or changes how a URL appears in search results, the original content will still exist and be reachable directly until the webmaster changes or removes it.
