Deleting Azure account link from personal Microsoft account, unable to do it on my own (Azure BSOD)

Hello MS Team!

When trying to close my Microsoft account, I got informed that my account is linked to Azure (I don't remember registering, but maybe I did it some years ago).

When clicking "Leave organization" button in the account deletion page, I got asked to sign in, but when I tried... I have seen BSOD saying that "Error message: interaction_required: AADSTS5000225: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity.".

I have tried everything to get back on that account, but unable to contact Azure support, and struggling for a week.

I just want to unlink that Azure account from my MS personal account and move on with deletion.

I have seen others with similar issue got here help, so here I ask.

Hello Rowan Hale,

The error message you are seeing indicates that your tenant has been inactive for more than 200 days after the billing cycle, which triggered Microsoft's process to remove inactive tenants. At this stage, the OMS commerce system places a login block AADSTS5000225, Twenty days after this block is applied, the tenant is permanently deleted.

To restore access, the tenant must have been blocked for less than 20 days. After 30 days, the tenant is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

We can reactivate your tenant only if it has been blocked for less than 20 days, please share the requested details in private message so that we can reactivate your account.

Once we have the requested details, we can proceed with your account reactivation.

I think the only real move is that an inactive‑blk tenant just can’t release an MSA from the client side… u let AOV lift it once, slip in → Orgs → Leave; if it still holds, ask for a re‑lift and repeat that same tap.
