    Hi,

Which Operating System are you ON?

let me suggest some tests first to check the highest volume.

    1. press Enter
    2. Go to the Playback tab
    3. Select your speaker device (the one with a green tick or the one you want to test)
    4. Click Properties
    5. Open the Advanced tab → click Test
    6. You should hear a tone from left and right channels

Is the volume adequate while playing from there?

Try these steps in order on Windows to increase the volume for YouTube and Zoom when they are already at full volume in the apps:

    1. Check app volume in Volume mixer (Windows 11)
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      2. Select Volume mixer.
      3. Make sure the sliders for System and for the affected apps (browser for YouTube, Zoom client) are turned up and not muted.
      For Windows 10:
      1. Right‑click the Volume icon in the taskbar.
      2. Select Open Volume mixer.
      3. Ensure the sliders for the system and each app are set high and not muted.
    2. Turn off audio enhancements Audio “enhancements” can sometimes reduce or distort volume. Windows 11:
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      2. Under Output, select the speakers/headphones in use.
      3. Find Audio enhancements and turn them Off.
      Windows 10:
      1. Right‑click the Volume icon and select Sounds.
      2. Go to the Playback tab.
      3. Select the audio device > Properties.
      4. Open the Enhancements tab.
      5. Check Disable all enhancements and select OK.
    3. Try a different audio format
      1. Go to the same audio device Properties page as above.
      2. In Advanced / Default format, choose a different format (for example, another sample rate/bit depth) and test YouTube/Zoom again.
    4. Check hardware and physical volume controls
      1. Verify speaker/headphone cables are firmly plugged in and in the correct jack.
      2. Make sure speakers/headphones are powered on.
      3. Turn up any physical volume knob or in‑line control on the speakers/headphones.
      4. If using USB audio, try a different USB port.
    5. Update or reinstall the audio driver
      1. Press Start, type Device Manager, and open it.
      2. Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      3. Right‑click the audio device and select Update driver and restart.
      4. If the issue persists, uninstall the device there, restart, and then install the latest audio driver from the PC or motherboard manufacturer.
    6. Run the Windows audio troubleshooter (Windows 11)
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
      2. In the Audio section, select Run and follow the prompts.

If the system and app volumes are all high and the issue happens only with specific calls, the problem may be on the sender’s side (their microphone/input volume is low). In that case, ask them to increase their microphone level or check their audio hardware.
