I bought Microsoft 365 but could not install on my MacBook becuase it requires IOS 14 or later and i have version 12. I am Unable to update my IOS and therefore I can not install Microsoft 365 on my device, what should I do?

Microsoft 365 for Mac requires a supported version of macOS. If the Mac is on macOS 12 and cannot be upgraded to a newer macOS version, the latest Microsoft 365 build cannot be installed, but an older Office/Microsoft 365 build that still supports macOS 12 can be used.
For macOS 12.7.6 (Monterey), the last supported Office/Microsoft 365 version is 16.88. This older version can be downloaded and installed, then activated using the existing Microsoft 365 subscription. The subscription license allows activation of an older compatible build even though the newest build does not install on that OS.
If the Mac cannot be updated beyond macOS 12 and installing an older Office build is not desired, Microsoft 365 apps can still be used in a browser via the free Microsoft 365 web apps.

After installing the compatible Office version, sign in with the Microsoft 365 account to activate. If activation or installation still fails, contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
