Xbox 360-era online services and apps, including the built-in browser and Store experiences, are being retired as part of moving support and investment to newer platforms like Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, similar to how support ended for older software such as Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.
When older platforms reach the end of their support lifecycle, online features can be limited or turned off, even if the console itself still works. That is why certain apps or services on Xbox 360, like the browser or Store, may no longer open or function as before.
To keep getting security updates, new apps, and a supported browser, the recommended path is to move to a newer device and platform that is still supported, in the same way that moving from Windows 7 to Windows 11 is recommended for PCs.
For general Microsoft account and device management (for example, if planning to move to a new console or PC), devices can be managed or removed from the Microsoft account at https://account.microsoft.com/devices as described in the referenced guidance.
