Another issue that has shown up and maybe associated with networking/domain is that now I suddenly see duplicate of the original file such as Job No. xxxx and Job No. xxxx(1) which concerns me as that's taking up space and i am already paying appx $100.00 per month for additional space on Navcom domain Microsoft Cloud and i go looking but am not unable to open the files.

    Hi @Navcom Accounts

To help narrow down the issue, please provide more details:

-What exactly happens during the installation? Please share the full error message, if any.

-Has your computer previously had Office installed?

-Are you signing in with a personal Microsoft account or a work/school (Microsoft 365 business) account?

-What type of Microsoft 365 subscription or license do you have (for example, Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, Business Basic, Business Standard, E3/E5)?

In the meantime, you can try the following steps:

    1.Confirm license & account

If you are using work or school account:

-Sign in at https://portal.office.com > Apps > Check Install apps button appears

-If not, the license may be missing or you may be signed in with the wrong account. Go to https://portal.office.com/account/#subscriptions and verify that a valid license is assigned.

If you are using a personal account

-Sign in at Microsoft account | Subscriptions

-Check your subscription status and install Office from there.

    2. Clear cached credentials

-Sign out of all Office apps.

-Open Control Panel > Credential Manager and remove any cached Office or Microsoft credentials.

-Restart your computer and sign in again.

If the issue persists, it may also help to fully uninstall any existing Office components including preinstalled or trial versions, restart the device, and then reinstall Microsoft 365 from the correct account portal.

Please know that while our initial response might not resolve the issue right away, your input is incredibly valuable. With a bit more detail, we’ll work together to find the best solution for you.

Follow these steps in order on the new computer to fix Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Cloud installation issues:

    1. Check if the Install button works and subscription is active
    1. If clicking Install does nothing
    • After selecting Install, look for a prompt at the bottom or top of the browser and choose Run, Open, or the equivalent to start the installer.
    • If still nothing happens, use private browsing:
      1. Right‑click the browser icon on the taskbar and select New InPrivate window / New incognito window / New private window.
      2. In that window, go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps and sign in with the Microsoft 365 account.
      3. Select Install, then Install again.
    1. Use the Microsoft 365 setup troubleshooter (Windows 10 or later)
    • Run the official setup troubleshooter to automatically fix many install problems:
      1. Select Start in the article: Troubleshoot installing Office.
      2. When prompted, allow it to open Get Help.
      3. Follow the prompts and restart the computer when asked.
    1. Restart the computer and try the install again
    • For many install errors (including codes like 30015‑1011, 30015‑4, or "Another installation is in progress"):
      1. Save work and close all apps.
      2. Restart the computer.
      3. Sign back in, open a browser, sign in to the Microsoft 365 account, and select Install again as described in the article for the version being installed.
    1. If installation is very slow or appears stuck
    • Restart the computer and then check whether Office is already installed by searching for Word, Excel, or PowerPoint in the Start menu.
    • If not installed:
      • Prefer a wired (Ethernet) connection instead of Wi‑Fi and restart the Office installation.
      • If the internet connection is slow or unstable, use the offline installer: follow the steps in Use the Office offline installer from the article on long installs.
    1. Confirm OS compatibility (especially on Macs)
    • If using macOS and the installer reports that the OS is too old, install the latest Office version supported by that macOS release or upgrade the OS if possible. For macOS 12.7.6 (Monterey), the last supported Office version is 16.88, available from the Office for Mac update history page.
    1. If moving to a new computer with an existing subscription
    • On the new computer, sign in at https://www.office.com with the same Microsoft account used for the subscription.
    • Select Apps on the left, then Install apps in the upper‑right to download and run the installer.

If these steps fail, repeat the install after a restart and use the setup troubleshooter again. For persistent issues, follow the detailed install guide for the specific Office/Microsoft 365 version referenced in the articles.
