why can i not connect to anything on Minecraft education edition, it says (connection timed out)

I have checked everything, but it still does not work. I have checked: internet connection antivirus or firewall, Updates, version incompatibility and Verifying network settings, it still does not work. can you help me?

In simple terms, the “Connection timed out” message means that Minecraft Education is able to start and attempt a multiplayer connection, but the connection never reaches the host or relay service before it times out. From experience, this usually isn’t caused by the game itself, your account, or your device.

Even when normal internet access works and local antivirus or firewall checks look fine, Minecraft Education multiplayer depends on specific network traffic (including peer‑to‑peer/UDP communication). On school or managed networks, this traffic is often restricted by firewalls, proxies, or content filters. When that happens, the game just waits and eventually shows a timeout, exactly like in your screenshot.

If you’re on a school or organization network

Please contact your school’s IT or network administrator and let them know that Minecraft Education multiplayer is failing with a “Connection timed out” error. They may need to check whether the network allows the required Minecraft Education traffic and endpoints.

In this situation, the next step is to involve the school or organization IT admin and have them verify that the network, firewall, and any web filters are configured to allow Minecraft Education traffic for Microsoft 365 education tenants. If the device is managed (for example, joined to a school domain or using Windows 365 Business/Cloud PC), the admin also needs to confirm there are no Group Policies, security appliances, or DNS restrictions that block outbound connections for Minecraft Education.
