bitlocker recovery key

Hi, I have a laptop which is now asking for bitlocker recovery key. I checked my account and I don't see this device in my list. I am not sure now which account i used to set this device. How can I find what account i used to set this device and how can i get the recovery key ?? I have important data on the disk and don't want to lose it. Please help.

    BitLocker is another layer of security protection for the PC. Are you the only one signed to that device, or is there a previous owner of the PC? If there is, you need to ask the previous owner for the BitLocker key, or direct them to the link below.

    If you are the only one, or there is another account in there, go to:

    https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey

    To check for the BitLocker recovery key.
