Is Clipchamp down? I have been trying to use it for the last couple of days, and it is not loading and giving me a network error.

    Hi Amy,

Clipchamp works here. Please try this:

Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard, or Right-click Start on the Taskbar and choose Run.

    Type/Paste %localappdata%\Packages\Clipchamp.Clipchamp_yxz26nhyzhsrt

    Press Enter.

Delete everything in the folder including subfolders - ensure Clipchamp is closed prior.

Restart the comptuer and verify if the problem goes away.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Otherwise, please take a moment to rate the answer. Wishing you good luck!

Clipchamp status cannot be confirmed from this information, but the described behavior (projects not loading and network-type errors) matches known local issues rather than a general outage.

Try these troubleshooting steps that address loading and network-related problems in Clipchamp:

    1. Reload Clipchamp
    • If using the browser or desktop app, reload the editor tab/app (Ctrl + F5, right-click → Reload, or the browser reload button) and then try opening the project again.
    • Ensure the internet connection is active while reloading.
    1. Reopen the project
    • Go back to the Clipchamp overview page where all video projects are listed.
    • Reload that page, then reopen the project that is not loading.
    1. Free up memory and check disk space
    • Close other browser tabs and applications to free RAM; low memory can prevent projects from loading correctly.
    • Check that there is enough free space on the internal drive. Free space should be more than the total size of the video files used in the project.
    1. Disable browser extensions
    • Some Edge/Chrome extensions (translation plugins, privacy tools, ad blockers) can prevent Clipchamp from loading.
    • Temporarily disable extensions, reload Clipchamp, and test loading the project again. See disabling browser extensions.
    1. Sign out, clear cache, and restart the browser
    • Ensure original media files are still available locally in case relinking is needed later.
    • Clear cached images and files for “All time” following the Edge or Chrome cache instructions:
    • After clearing cache, type edge://restart or chrome://restart in the address bar and press Enter.
    • Reopen Clipchamp and the project.
    1. Check hardware limits and project size
    • Clipchamp can be compute-intensive. For best results, use a 64-bit computer with at least 8 GB RAM (16 GB or more recommended), a recent graphics card, and sufficient free disk space (more than the size of the project’s media files).
    • If the computer is older or underpowered, consider:
      • Opening the project on a different machine that meets these requirements, or
      • Splitting a long project into several shorter projects. See Creating different project versions.

If, after these steps, Clipchamp still shows a network error while other websites and services work normally, test on another browser or device. If it works elsewhere, the issue is likely local (browser profile, extensions, cache, or device resources) rather than Clipchamp being down globally.
