Hi so recently I've been running into a strange situation where my PC alarm wont go off when I set it to 9 AM. It still works when I set it to other times but every time I need it to go off at 9 AM it fails.

Hi Mongoose Dunkelschreiber, Thanks for posting here in Microsoft Community. Can you please check if Focus Assist / Do Not Disturb is scheduled around 9:00 AM on your PC?

Check the Windows Clock app settings and Windows time settings, as alarms depend on correct time, time zone, and sleep/notification behavior.

    1. Verify the alarm itself
      • Open Start > Clock.
      • Go to Alarm.
      • Confirm the 9:00 AM alarm is On, set to the correct days of the week, and not set to a past time for the current day.
      • Try deleting the existing 9:00 AM alarm and creating a new one.
    2. Check time and time zone
      • Go to Start > Settings > Time & language > Date & time.
      • Make sure the time and time zone are correct.
      • If needed, turn Set time zone automatically to On, or turn it Off and manually choose the correct Time zone from the drop-down.
      • If the clock is off by an hour (DST or wrong zone), a 9:00 AM alarm may effectively trigger at a different local time.
    3. Ensure the PC is awake and allowed to show notifications
      • Alarms and timers work if the device is locked or the app is closed, but they may not show if the device is actually asleep.
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Power & battery, then Screen and sleep.
      • Adjust settings so the PC does not go to sleep before 9:00 AM (for example, set PC goes to sleep to a later time or Never while testing).
      • Keep the laptop or tablet plugged in and make sure the volume is high enough to hear the alarm.
    4. Test with other times around 9:00 AM
      • Create alarms for 8:55 AM, 9:00 AM, and 9:05 AM.
      • Lock the device (do not let it sleep) and see which ones trigger.
      • If only 9:00 AM fails, delete all alarms and recreate them, or reinstall/reset the Clock app as a next step.
    5. Responding to alarms
      • When the alarm appears, choose Snooze or Dismiss. If it is being auto-dismissed by another app or focus mode, check any focus/notification settings that might silence it at that specific time.

If the problem persists after confirming time zone, sleep, and volume, and recreating the 9:00 AM alarm, it is likely an app- or system-specific bug and may require further troubleshooting or updates.
