A family of Microsoft products that enable users to capture, organize, and reuse notes electronically.
Hello @Nur K
From what you’ve described, your OneNote desktop application has stopped communicating with the cloud. Specifically:
- Changes made locally are not appearing in the OneNote Web version.
- You are seeing the error code E000006E 4pfvq across multiple files or sections.
- The connection seems to have been severed around March.
I have noted that other users are encountering the same issue, and I would like to suggest the following troubleshooting steps. However, to prevent data loss, you must back up your unsynced data first:
Backup Your Unsynced Notes (Priority #1)
Before attempting any repairs, we must ensure you do not lose the work you have done since March. Do not sign out or close the notebook yet, as doing so will delete the local cache of your unsynced changes.
- Manual Copy: Open OneNote Online (onenote.com) in your browser. Manually copy the content from your desktop app and paste it into the web version or a separate Word document.
- Export Section: If you are using the Desktop version, go to File > Export > Section and save it as a .one file to your local hard drive.
- Print to PDF: For a quick visual backup, go to File > Print and select Microsoft Print to PDF for your most critical pages.
Update OneNote
In similar cases, some users have reported that they fixed the issue simply by updating their OneNote version. Could you please confirm if you are using the OneNote app on a laptop? If so, please try updating OneNote after you have successfully backed up your files to see if the problem is resolved.
