Follow these steps to schedule the AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals exam:
- Go to the certification pages and find AZ-900
- Open the scheduling page
- On the AZ-900 certification or exam detail page, scroll to the Schedule exam section.
- Click the Schedule with Pearson VUE button (for most users). Certiport is only used for Microsoft Office or academic programs.
- Sign in and complete Microsoft Learn profile details
- When prompted, sign in with a Microsoft account and create/confirm the Microsoft Learn profile.
- Ensure the legal name in the Learn profile exactly matches the name on the government-issued ID that will be used on exam day. If not present, add the legal name when redirected.
- Provide the required contact details (address, phone number, email). These are collected for Pearson VUE; Microsoft does not store this information.
- Click Submit to continue to Pearson VUE.
- Choose exam delivery (online or test center)
- On Pearson VUE, choose whether to take the exam online or at a test center:
- Test center: take the exam at a local Pearson VUE center in a pre-configured environment.
- Online proctored: take the exam from home/office. For online exams, run the required system pre-check beforehand using the link provided in the instructions or see About online exams with Pearson VUE.
- If the online option is not shown, it is not available for that region/provider.
- Select date and time
- Pick the preferred date and time for the AZ-900 exam.
- Exams can be scheduled no more than 90 days in advance.
- A maximum of two Microsoft Certification exams can be scheduled at any time through Pearson VUE. After taking or canceling one, another can be scheduled.
- Review and confirm
- Review the appointment details, language, delivery method, and test center (if applicable).
- Complete the checkout process on Pearson VUE.
- Confirm the booking; a confirmation email will be sent with exam details.
- Manage the appointment if needed
- From the Microsoft Learn profile, the exam appointment can be rescheduled, canceled, or an online exam can be started at the scheduled time.
If exam accommodations (extra time, assistive devices, etc.) are needed, submit a request before scheduling using the process described at Request accommodations.
