How do I fix Microsoft Store not working and breaking majority of my programs?

Microsoft has never worked since I built this new pc with windows 11. This resulted in some apps, such as text documents not working, paint, snipping tool, etc. This also disrupted my updates. I have updates that are always stuck at 98%. No matter what I do, even completely resetting the pc does not change anything. I've contacted support before, and all they told me was that they are still working to fix the issue. Buddy, it's been years, what do you mean you are still trying to fix it? I can't reset or repair the microsoft store. I can't redownload it. It just gives me an error everytime I open an app saying there is no app available.

Thank you for updating me with that information. Kindly proceed in performing a Repair Install via In-place upgrade as this usually fixes this type of issue. Please let me know how it goes.

    Hi, good day!

What is your current Windows operating system and version?

Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: winver

    Press Enter

Please take a screenshot of the resulting window and post it in your next response.

If doing a Reset this PC does not work, please try performing an In-place Upgrade. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while your personal files, settings and installed applications will not be removed.

Few things to check on the PC

    • Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting
    • Disable or uninstall any third-party Antivirus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade
