Virgin Media changed how you sign in so I have to now use my gmail address to sign into Virgin Media. This means that Outlook recognise it and I cant seem to set up outlook to do so. Is there a way round this

I am trying to access my Virgin Media email using Outlook. Because VM changed their set up, you need to use a different email address to sign into VM account. because of this outlook, cannot recognise the account and password combination. Is there a way round this?

Hello, I’m Virginia a fellow Windows user.

Signing in with your Gmail only affects logging into your virginmedia account online, to set up the email account you’d still use your ntlworld/virginmedia email address - I’ve just added mine to outlook app.

You’ll also require an app specific password which is used instead of the account password.

My old ntlworld account uses an outlook username to sign in via virginmedia.com but setting up my email still uses my ntl email address.
