I'm confused about Microsoft 365 and/or Word being changed or deleted.

My wife and I are on our own iMac computers - and we have been Office users and later Microsoft 365 users. I use only the Word and Outlook. My wife uses the Word, Outlook, and until now Excel. She will be dropping Excel now as she is no longer rhetorical HOA Treasurer. SO, that's the background. Now our issue revolves around the messages I keep getting about how Word will "die" if I don't do something - or maybe Microsoft 365 will die if I don't do something. We like our email; we are each comcast.net users. We each like to keep our Word undisturbed; I'm an author and writer and must keep all my files in their folders or I am defunct. SO, WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ALL THE CHANGES THAT YOU ALL ARE SAYING IN REPEATED EMAILS ARE GOING TO BE GOING ON????? I SIMPLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO. It seems to me that we no longer need the Microsoft 365, but I dare not drop it without consulting with you - which is what I'm doing right now. So clear this up for me and give me a clear path forward, please. Tom McDonald. or call me at [Moderator note: personal information removed]

What do the messages say, specifically? If they refer to your Comcast mail address, note that it is beyond Microsoft's control. See more at https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN36803.html .

Also, see if the thread at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5868248/email-sync-error-on-new-comcast-email-account will be helpful.
