New Outlook contacts view settings

Question

I have switched to new outlook 2026 only to find there is no settings for changing the view. What I have read in community messages that the business card view is not provided. Is this going to change?

New Outlook for Windows currently has a simplified People/Contacts experience and does not expose the classic view types (such as Business Card view) or the full “View Settings” customization found in classic Outlook.

The available documentation only describes these detailed view types and customization options for classic Outlook (Table, Timeline, Card, Business Card, People, etc.), not for the new Outlook client. There is no documented indication in the provided material that Business Card view or equivalent advanced view customization is planned for new Outlook.

To use Business Card or other advanced contact views, classic Outlook must be used where those view types and the View → Change View → Manage Views options are available.
