Recovering my hotmail account

I am trying to recover my Hotmail account, which I have been unable to access for the past five days.

During this time, I have completed the online account recovery form every day and provided as much accurate information as possible. This has included linking associated services such as Microsoft 365 and Xbox, as well a billing details for the card linked to my Microsoft account. Despite these efforts, I have not received any confirmation emails or updates regarding the status of my request.

This situation is becoming increasingly frustrating, as I rely on this account and have made every reasonable attempt to verify my identity through the available channels. Can anybody suggest any alternative or provide an email address for the Microsoft support team.

    Hi Gerhard Gouws,

I understand that you have already submitted the recovery form several times and have not received any confirmation or update. Since this involves account ownership verification, the best next step is to contact Microsoft Support through the official support page.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access your account, review recovery submissions, or manually restore access. For account protection, support agents also cannot simply send a password reset link or change account details without verification, but they can help route your case through the official support channel.

You can try reaching Microsoft Support by live chat using these steps:

1, Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support

2, In the search bar provided on the page, type "Account recovery" and press Enter.

3, Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.

4, Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.

5, When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".

6, For the category, choose "Manage account security".

7, Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

8, Confirm your personal email when prompted - this is the email Microsoft will use to communicate with you during and after the support session.

9, When connected, clearly explain your situation. Be concise but include all relevant details.

If you would still like to retry the recovery form, you can use the official recovery form here: https://account.live.com/acsr. Before submitting it again, review this guidance and provide as much accurate account history as possible: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/help-with-the-microsoft-account-recovery-form-b19c02d1-a782-dee6-93c3-dc8113b20c42.

I hope this helps you reach the correct support path for your account recovery case.
