Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Hi Faidhi Fahmi,
It looks like the SMS never arrives even after waiting and resending – that can happen if the system flags too many back-to-back requests or if the number isn’t formatted or supported correctly. Here are a few things to try:
- Double-check your number and country code
- Make sure there are no typos, and the correct “+60” prefix is selected.
- Use a “real” mobile number, not VoIP
- Azure’s phone verification won’t accept VoIP or certain landlines. A standard cell phone number usually works best.
- Wait up to 4 minutes, then try “Call me”
- SMS can be delayed by your carrier. If there’s a “Call me” option, select that to get a voice code.
- Clear cache or switch browser/device
- Sometimes cookies or extensions interfere with the resend flow. Try an incognito window or a different phone/PC.
- Pause for at least 24 hours before re-attempting
- Flooding the system with too many code requests in a short time can trigger a temporary fraud/risk block. Waiting a day clears that.
- If you still don’t get a code
- Open a support ticket with the Microsoft for Startups team so they can review and lift any blocks on your account/phone number.
Hope one of these does the trick!
