I tried windows, settings, display, multipal display and connect, I received a message stating there is no connection. I tried left click windows, managing device, display config. and update, it gives a message that the update is the latest update.

Follow these steps in order on the Windows 11 laptop to reconnect the second monitor:

    1. Check the physical connection
      1. Make sure the cable between the laptop and the external monitor is firmly seated at both ends.
      2. If possible, unplug the HDMI (or other display) cable from both the laptop and the monitor, then plug it back in firmly.
      3. If available, try a different cable. If the new cable works, the old one is faulty.
      4. If possible, test the external monitor with another computer. If it also fails there, the issue may be with the monitor.
    2. Verify Windows display mode
      1. Press Windows logo key + P.
      2. Select Extend (or Duplicate) and see if the external monitor comes back.
    3. Try another video output (if available)
      1. If the laptop has more than one video output port (for example, HDMI and USB-C/DisplayPort), connect the monitor to a different port and test again.
    4. Remove accessories that may interfere
      1. Disconnect docks, dongles, adapters, and other external devices from the laptop.
      2. Reconnect only the external monitor and test again.
    5. Check for Windows and driver updates
      1. Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update.
      2. Select Check for updates and install any available updates.
      3. Restart the laptop and test the external monitor again.

If the monitor still does not connect after these steps, use Feedback Hub to report the issue so it can be investigated further.
