Outlook.com and Outlook on the web only keep deleted items for a limited time. Once an email has been removed from Deleted Items and is no longer available in the Recoverable Items folder, it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

To check the maximum that is still recoverable:

    1. In Outlook on the web/Outlook.com, open the Deleted Items folder.
    2. At the top of the message list, select Recover items deleted from this folder.
    3. If the message from last April does not appear in this Recoverable Items list, it has been permanently removed and cannot be restored.

Retention in the Recoverable Items folder is controlled by service policies; after that period expires, even support or administrators cannot recover the message.
